Pamela Atkinson Homeless Trust Fund
Since its inception in 1988, the Pamela Atkinson Homeless Trust Fund has funneled millions of dollars to Utah charities that aid the homeless: shelters and outreach groups that canvass city streets for people in need of food, winter clothing or a warm blanket.

Donations can be made online, or by checking a box on your Utah income tax form. The money directly benefits the state’s neediest men, women and children: $2 pays for a hot meal, $12 pays for one night at a shelter, and $40 pays for a night of transitional housing and other supports for abused women and their children.

Donations can be also made in person. If you need more information, please contact Jonathan Hardy at jhardy@utah.gov

Your contributions will help Utah achieve its goal of ending chronic homelessness by 2014.

Where does the money go?

  • 33 % emergency shelter operations
  • 27 % case management services
  • 19 % transitional housing
  • 12 % permanent housing
  • 5 % meals
  • 4% homeless outreach and day centers
